Pastor Frank Sanders, Jr.

March 8, 1949 - February 17, 2012

Our Founder...

Pastor Frank was a Silver medalists on the 1972  U.S. Olympic Hockey Team. His accomplishments within the sport of hockey spanned his high school, college and professional years . After reaching heights of prestige and accomplishment in the field of hockey Frank left professional sports to answer the true calling on his life, to be a Minister of the Gospel. He went on to graduate from the Apostolic Bible Institute.

Frank served as an assistant pastor for many years at Apostolic Bible Church.  In 2001, he and his wife Kathy felt the call to begin a new church in Woodbury, MN where they and fifteen other people founded Spirit of Life Bible Church. As pastor, Frank was committed that the church be built on the solid Word of God, the Bible.

After a heroic fight, Frank passed away from pancreatic cancer on Friday February 17th, 2012. He was surrounded by his family, and by the prayers of all who loved him.

The lives touched by Pastor Frank are too many to list here, but through his vision this church body built upon the Word of God, continues in his legacy.

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

Acts 2:38,39
